Veteran’s Day! November 11th
“The willingness of American’s Veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude.” — Jeff Miller. A celebration will be held at Coral Reef to honor America’s Veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. We invite former military service members to discuss their service-related memories and pictures. Residents and employees join us to honor and appreciate all servicemen who served the United States in all wars, as we enjoy a slice of pie.
Mickey Mouse’s Birthday! November 18th
Mickey Mouse first appeared publicly in the short film “Steamboat Willy” on November 18, 1928, the day fans officially recognize as Mickey Mouse’s Birthday. Mickey reminds us of the magic of childhood — a time when dreams had wings, and our imagination made everything possible. Residents will begin by watching 50 years of Disney while we decorate Mickey Mouse Ears and finish our day eating Mickey Mouse ice cream and watch some classic Mickey Mouse cartoons.
Friendsgiving Dinner – November 22nd (Begins at 5pm)
Friendsgiving describes a day to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends. The name Friendsgiving is a mashup of “friends” and “Thanksgiving,” and the idea is to spend an evening with the holiday’s classic dishes and your best buds. Employees, Residents and their families join us as we celebrate this unofficial holiday. Please RSVP with your activities department as seating is limited for this event.
As we practice proper social distancing protocols in our community, we are proud to feature modified programming to continue providing vibrancy for our residents and employees.
